Do NOT speak with the Corner Man, if YOU cannot identify the 3

Do NOT speak with the Corner Man, if YOU cannot
identify the 3 questions that must be answered to
see the Big Picture:
1) What is the CONCEPT, i.e. what is the main idea?
2) What is the S.A.M.?
Note: S.A.M. = steps for solving problems
3) What is the VARIATION in the problems,
AND how does the variation affect the S.A.M.?
All MESA Creators are expected to know these three questions
as easily as they know their name! This is what it means to work
at the “Big Picture” level. If you are not focusing on the three
Big Picture questions (i.e. during BPR, Class, RLN and Homework),
then it is possible that you are missing information that will be
needed for a quiz or exam. The key is to see the Big Picture.
That’s what MESA Creators do!
