Every child has a different idea of fun. At Camp Cheval we value our campers’
opinions and feedback. Therefore, campers ages 8 and above will love our new
“Choose Your Fun” program! Three days per week, kids will CHOOSE

Beginning guitarists will be led by professional musician and Berklee College of
Music graduate, Cameron Schmitz, for a FUN week of guitar! Campers will learn
how to play 5 classic rock riffs, how to play chords as well as chord progressions
plus technique and picking exercises. In addition, campers will be given basic
music theory and an intro to GarageBand. Campers are encouraged to bring
their own guitars (acoustic or electric) or a guitar can be rented from the Athletic
Club to use during camp hours (while supplies last).

We will be going to Mars in 25 years according to NASA. That puts our students
at the right age to lead these exciting journeys, so let’s get a head start on
Training! This hands-on program designed with NASA explores all atmosphere,
solar system and space phenomena as well the forces of flight, living in space
and the challenges of space travel. Children will build their own Sky Blazer
rocket and experience a real rocket launch. Lots of other cool take homes.

Join us for a week of building amazing robots! Learn about the uses of robots

very own working robot to take home with you!

Martial arts students can work in an accelerated environment to earn their next
stripes. Sensei Tina will be awarding stripes at the end of camp to students who
have achieved proficiency. Not a martial arts student? Try out martial arts for the
week and earn those first stripes on your white belt. Friday will culminate with
students being awarded their stripes or next belt.

Worried about back-to-school issues? Practice defense against a shirt grab,
front or rear chokes, throat grabs, and wrist grabs. Real-life situational training
and practicing with our black belt students will help build the confidence of your
child. We also will play some martial arts games to provide some fun in between
the intense training. On our last day our kids will do a demonstration for their
parents of the skills and knowledge they have gained during the week plus earn
a Certificate of Accomplishment.

MINING AND CRAFTING CAMP 1 - Week 1 (6/9-6/13)
Experience the world of Minecraft with LEGO® bricks in this fun camp! Kids will start
by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using LEGO ® bricks.
Campers will face new challenges each day, building motorized Bricks 4 Kidz models
and crafting key elements from the popular Minecraft game. At the end of the week, all

MINING AND CRAFTING 2 - Week 3 (6/23-6/27)
Steve is jumping for joy as he introduces the newest members of his Minecraft® world.
Whether or not your child has attended our first camp, reward them with the creativity
and excitement this new camp has to offer. Campers will be challenged to bring their
virtual designs to life by building new mob figures, mosaics and custom models, and
incorporating LEGO® Bricks. So, are you ready for the challenge?
REMOTE CONTROL MANIA - Week 5 (7/7-7/11)
Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp! Kids will love to see their
creations in motion using LEGO ® wireless remote controls. Each day, campers will use
fascinating and challenging LEGO ® components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions,
machines and more. As they enjoy the fun of building, campers will understand the
basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives.
Campers will also learn how to magnify, diminish and redirect force to move objects at
different speeds and in different directions. This camp is loads of fun and learning for
budding builders.
SUPER HERO CAMP - Week 7 (7/21-7/25)
Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a week of building Super Heroes with LEGO® bricks. Explore all
the caped crusaders and discover their super powers. Create a fantasy world and protect
it against all the evil archenemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO® bricks. At
the end of the week, all SUPER HERO CAMPERS will go home with a custom mini figure!

This is the perfect camp for kids who wish to have a small adventure away from (but
still close to) home. Monday will be spent at the AC learning how to “survive” in the
wilderness. The kids will then meet at the AC on Tuesday morning with their loot
and our bus will take them to Camp Wai Lani for three nights. There, they will enjoy
archery, boating, swimming, fishing, trail hiking, bon fires and MUCH more! They will
love sleeping in the cabins at the campground. We leave camp on Friday morning
and will be back to the AC by 12pm for parent pick up.

Run, bike, and swim! Your child will have fun exercising and learning about

will be required to bring in their own bike and helmet on certain days of the camp.

This will be a great opportunity to swim and train with past Olympic athletes and
coaches. We will have our guests share stories about past experiences, as well
as provide feedback on strokes through out the week. All attendees will have the
opportunity to ask questions, and gain knowledge and insight from those who
have competed at the highest level our sport has to offer.

This camp is limited to swimmers 13 and older, interested in swimming in college
one day. There will be some swimming and technique offered (about an hour
a day), but the majority of this session will be focused on video and education.
This is a great way to encourage the importance of diet in regards to training,
as well as what steps need to be taken to continue their swimming career at the
next level. We will discuss the recruitment process and the important roles for
swimmers, coaches, and parents involved the process.
