Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists:
C01 and M03:
Hospice Foundation of America has been approved by National Board for
Certified Counselors (NBCC) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider,
ACEP #5729. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.
Hospice Foundation of America is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
C07:
Hospice Foundation of America is recognized by the New York State Education
Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved
provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors #MHC-0084.
Mental health practitioners will receive 0.5 live and 1.5 self-study contact hours.
Nurses:
N01:
This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Alabama State
Nurses Association an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Note: Alabama nurses are responsible for reporting their hours to the Alabama Board
of Nursing. When doing so, please leave the “provider number” field blank on your
individual transcript; however all other information must be completed.
Social Workers:

Hospice Foundation of America SW CPE is recognized by the New York State
Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of
continuing education for licensed social workers #0244.
Social workers participating in this course will receive 0.5 live and 1.5 self-study
continuing education (CE) clock hours.
ADDITIONAL BOARD NOTES:
The California Board of Behavioral Sciences no longer approves organizations to
be providers of continuing education. According to their website
(http://www.bbs.ca.gov/), they recognize the following agencies, which HFA does
have approval for:
i. National Association of Social Workers (NASW) [NASW also recognizes MFTs]
ii. National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
