From the President

I
want to thank everyone for another
wonderful summer at SSTC! A big thank
you to the entire staff who have made
this year possible with their hard work.
We have a lot of great things to look
forward to next summer, including the
installation of a new kiddie pool!
We hope that you will join us again
next summer! Please don't forget our annual
Halloween Party!! (date to be announced
soon) Please check out Facebook page and
our web page for updates throughout the
winter.
Vice President
Tom Glenn
G
reetings to one and all,
With the arrival of midsummer
here at the pool club comes the
annual bond holders
meeting. Inevitably it always seems to be
one of the hottest nights Politely in time of
the season and this year seemed to be no
different. But with lots of cool drinks, and
great treats provided by Lisa......... and her
social committee the meeting was
held. Lots of presentations and reports on
the status of the club
sometimes light
and other times heated much discussion on
the direction of need for the clubs future
success was had.
As long as I have been a bond holder
whether sitting in as the associations Vice
President or a voting member from the floor
I have enjoyed knowing somehow my voice
has had an impact on the club’s future. This
past year is my final year as Vice President
and I can honestly say I have been truly
impressed with the work of the 3 current
directors whom I served with, Kelly Brown
membership, Kristen Nichols
communications, and Amy Fontaine social
and replacing me as VP. Ladies it's been
great! It has also been a great pleasure to
serve with my friend club secretary
Stephanie Torres, thank you for your
commitment to our club. Finally, although we
don't always see eye to eye Jackie Doyle has
been devoted and took over an
insurmountable task of stepping in as the
clubs president and I wish her and the board
greater success in the future.
One of my favorite aspects of our
bond holders meeting has always been "The
Good & Welfare." This is when members
have an opportunity to voice the concerns
and suggestions the may have to help
improve the safety and general welfare of
what the club offers. One year someone
suggested soccer nets, this year
unbeknownst to me the bottom of the chain
link fence on our ball field has become a
concern and they offered a simple solution,
thank you. So with close to 50 bond holders
in attendance the club’s future business was
tended to for another year and those of us
there were part of it. I invite those of you
who enjoy this club as much as we do to
become part of the clubs future,
In closing lets all enjoy the second half
of our summer and my promise to you the
bond holders and general membership for
your years of support, I will continue to
listen to your concerns
and suggestions anytime.
Respectfully Yours,
TGlenn

s I finish off my 20th year at
SSTC I am lost in reflection. The
years have passed so quickly but
each summer is better than the last and
each family that I meet leaves a lasting
impression.
It really is so rewarding to see the

a long winter. This year was no different.
And finally, to all of our members,
please enjoy the remainder of your time
here at SSTC. Without you, this club would
not be possible. Think of us during those
cold winter days when the snow is falling and
the wind is blowing. The dog days of summer
will be right around the corner........for me
this is not goodbye.........rather, until we meet
again!
Our lessons offered our youngsters a
venue to brush up on their swimming strokes
as well as their tennis strokes. A big thanks
to all of my swim lesson guards; Jessica
Murphy, Alison Murphy, Connor Kogut,
Katarina Alvares and Tyler Linhares for your
time and dedication to our young
swimmers. Thanks also to Marissa PitroneMarsh, our new tennis instructor. In the
wake of Frank's departure, Marissa did a
great job in showing our budding tennis stars
a different way to approach their time on
the courts. The arts and crafts room was
always bursting with energy as our future
Picasso's dove into the craft of the day.
Thank you to Mrs. Arenas for her
boundless energy and creative
projects. Thanks also to Mike Lantagne for
taking such good care of our grounds that
for so many of us is our summer home away
from home. The ladies of the snack bar
