Red Lake 11 is now under control at 18 hectares. No problems are anticipated with this fire. Flood – Stream flows and water levels are within seasonal ranges for the Northeast and Northwest Regions. In the Southern Region, several areas are still experiencing high water levels and flood conditions. These areas are mainly located along the shores of Lake Ontario and Erie. Lake Ontario’s lake-wide average water level is now declining from where it was at its peak near the end of May. The rate of decline recently has been slightly less than 1 cm per day, and with higher outflows starting yesterday, this will bring it closer to 1 cm per day. This slow decline is expected to continue in the coming days with generally dry weather forecasted. However, water levels have also been and may continue to be more variable locally due to changing wind patterns.
