Our Logo The SNH Logo Unit SNH has a dual language logo unit which defines the relationship between the SNH pictogram, our name and our corporate strapline. Our corporate stance is that the dual language logo should be used in all instances. If you see a reason to depart from this guidance, you should raise this with the design team in advance of publication to ensure all available options are explored. SNH logo unit colour Occasionally, space will be at a premium in a published product and in those instances we need to be flexible in our approach. It is acceptable to scale back from using the full logo unit by: firstly, dropping the strapline; secondly, using the pictogram on its own. Please contact a member of the design team if you feel this is necessary and we can supply you with the necessary artwork. No text or graphic elements should encroach into this area; this will help to ensure that the logos always appear on a neutral, uncluttered background area. 0.25 X The protective space around the logo unit is defined as follows: The area of protection is 0.25 ‘X’ — the ‘X’ value here is derived from the total height of the pictogram, organisation name and strap-line taken together as a single unit. The logo unit should be positioned so that it is ranged left in either the bottom or the top corner of the page. This rule applies to both portrait (vertical) and landscape (horizontal) format artworks. Special Circumstances These sizes are a guide only if on rare occasions a logo smaller than the minimum special use size (specified above) is required, you can use the logo unit without the strap line. The logo unit should be edited only in these circumstances. The size used is left up to the discretion of the designer but great care should be taken to ensure that the logo unit remains legible.
