This means instruction begins at 7:45 and ends at 2:30. If your child comes to school late or leaves early they will miss important instruction time. Please have your child at school by 7:30 so they are able to eat breakfast before class starts. We realize that you are your child’s first and most important teacher. We can not do this without you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about your child. The school number is 374-2221. Call and leave a message and I will call you back the very first chance I have. You may also email me at [email protected] or send a note in your child’s Agenda or Take Home Folder. To keep track of student’s behavior we will use a color chart. Each student will start the day on green. On the students second warning they will move to yellow, which means they need to be careful and watch their behavior. At this time Mrs. Cattenhead or I will talk with the student about their behavior and have them identify the rule that was broken and what they should have done instead. Once the student is on yellow if they receive another warning they will move to red. At this point they will have time out to think about their behavior and regroup themselves before rejoining the group. If your child is on red you will receive a note detailing their behavior. If the student is on red for three consecutive days I will contact you by phone or request a conference so that together we can make a plan to get your child back on track, remember this is a joint effort. When a student’s color is changed to yellow they can earn their way back to green by correcting their behavior and getting back on track, if a student is on red they can earn their way back to yellow.
