The newly restored lobby in The
Historical Hotel Limpia is pictured
here to the right. It features hardwood
floors with period furniture and light
fixtures. It is the place that welcomes
our guests with cool breezes that gently
flow through this serene space inviting
you to stay and relax with us!
The Sul Ross Theatrical Society performed excerpts
from Shakespeare s “ Merchant of Venice” on Sunday
Shakespeare was at the Bistro!
September 9th. Elizabethan music was performed by
guitarist Marina Azar & one of Blue Mountain Bistro’s
chefs, violinist Betty McGehee. The song “Scarborough
Fair” was performed a capella by our own strolling
vocalist Brendy McBride. Hors’d oeuvres prepared by
absolutely magical chefs and served by our top notch
wait staff were all courtesy of the Hotel Limpia and
Blue Mountain Bistro. The event was held in the
beautiful patio garden on the grounds. Donations for
this event will benefit the Jeff Davis County Library.
“I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.”

The Hotel Limpia
gets new owners!
The historic Hotel Limpia, built in 1912, comes under new
ownership and management! David & Ana Schreiber
acquired the landmark hotel and opened October 26, 2011.
Bistro Dining Room
The hotel Ballroom and Lobby have been completely
remodeled in keeping with the early 1900’s style. The
courtyard area received a completely new look by adding
picturesque raised rock flower beds, an elevated space that
can be used as a stage, and a wonderful open space that can
be used for dancing , parties and receptions and even
weddings. There are several ancient trees in the courtyard
which create a protected shady alcove to relax, have a drink,
read or just watch the world go by.
Courtyard
Blue Mountain Bistro Opens!
In late March 2011the Schreibers added a newly renovated
restaurant to the amenities that The Hotel Limpia offers. The
Blue Mountain Bistro has Country French charm and décor
and offers some of the finest cuisine in the area. Menu
highlights include Steak & Frites, Mussels with White
Wine, Grilled Salmon and house made desserts. Attached to
the Bistro is a handsome full bar featuring wonderful views
of the courtyard and hotel. Come and step back into a slower
pace at Ft. Davis!
