It features hardwood floors with period furniture and light fixtures. It is the place that welcomes our guests with cool breezes that gently flow through this serene space inviting you to stay and relax with us! The Sul Ross Theatrical Society performed excerpts from Shakespeare s “ Merchant of Venice” on Sunday Shakespeare was at the Bistro! September 9th. Elizabethan music was performed by guitarist Marina Azar & one of Blue Mountain Bistro’s chefs, violinist Betty McGehee. The song “Scarborough Fair” was performed a capella by our own strolling vocalist Brendy McBride. Hors’d oeuvres prepared by absolutely magical chefs and served by our top notch wait staff were all courtesy of the Hotel Limpia and Blue Mountain Bistro. The event was held in the beautiful patio garden on the grounds. Donations for this event will benefit the Jeff Davis County Library. “I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.” Shakespeare The Hotel Limpia gets new owners! The historic Hotel Limpia, built in 1912, comes under new ownership and management! David & Ana Schreiber acquired the landmark hotel and opened October 26, 2011. Bistro Dining Room The hotel Ballroom and Lobby have been completely remodeled in keeping with the early 1900’s style. The courtyard area received a completely new look by adding picturesque raised rock flower beds, an elevated space that can be used as a stage, and a wonderful open space that can be used for dancing , parties and receptions and even weddings. There are several ancient trees in the courtyard which create a protected shady alcove to relax, have a drink, read or just watch the world go by. Courtyard Blue Mountain Bistro Opens! In late March 2011the Schreibers added a newly renovated restaurant to the amenities that The Hotel Limpia offers. The Blue Mountain Bistro has Country French charm and décor and offers some of the finest cuisine in the area. Menu highlights include Steak & Frites, Mussels with White Wine, Grilled Salmon and house made desserts.
