Voted South America's leading adventure tourism
destination in the World Travel Awards, Chile is an
adventurer’s paradise.
Even the mere mention of its name conjures images of adventure, with smoking volcanoes,
lush tropical jungles, open roads and a warm culture. Trek Travel takes you to three of
Mother Nature's most impressive ports of call in Chile: the Araucarias UNESCO Reserve and
Kütralkura Geopark; the outdoor mecca of Pucon which is situated on a lake beneath
Villarrica volcano and Villarrica National Park; and the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, a
unique ecosystem within the Patagonian Rainforest. Along the way we will ride over
spectacular terrain peppered with live volcanoes, glacial lakes, and hot springs, visit with
some of Chile’s indigenous inhabitants, and hike through tropical forests and bucolic natural
preserves. You'll want to bring a camera for this.

Discover Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia with an experience that will surprise you day by day. The
Chilean Patagonia is home to some of the most impressive sights in the Southern Hemisphere and to some of
the world’s most classic hiking routes encompassing ancient forests, glaciers, lakes, rivers and fjords, and
fauna including guanacos, flamingos, condors, foxes and pumas. Our Patagonia experience in Torres del Paine
has two daily hiking options – easy and active levels. The easy hiking options are not strenuous and can be
enjoyed by anyone in reasonable physical condition. The active hikes are more challenging and involve up to 8
hours of hiking per day, often over difficult terrain. You can choose each night which option appeals to you the
most for the following day, depending on how that day’s hike has left you feeling!

On most Trek Travel trips, we offer non-riding options for riders who want to take the afternoon off, or travel companions who want to
spend little or no time in the saddle. Some of these options may need to be scheduled before your trip–please contact one of our Trip

If I book a tour, can it be guaranteed that it will run?
If you’re going, we’re going on almost all our trips. Trips with 1 guest booked are guaranteed to run. Select trips like Cross Country,
Race and Special Edition trips require a minimum number of guests to run and are not guaranteed until that number is reached.
Contact your Trip Consultant for more details.
In the event that a departure has low enrollment, we will notify guests at 60-90 days before departure to give the option to select a
different date with more guests booked. Please do not reserve airfare before confirming your Trek Travel trip.
What kind of information is provided?
When a trip is booked, a guest confirmation letter is immediately sent out. One week prior to the trip start you will receive an email
containing a trip start meeting location reminder and any last minute information that you will need to know before your trip. Once you
arrive at your destination Trek Travel staff will brief you on the day-to-day plan for the trip and provide you with daily route guides and a
detailed map allowing you to ride with complete confidence and independence.
What if I have to change or cancel my trip?
