ConfessionofSin TheVice‐Moderatorinvitedpresbyterytoamomentofconfessionofsin.Presbyters prayedaunisonprayerofconfessionandwereassuredofGod’spardonfollowedby sharingthepeaceofChristandsingingtheGloriaPatri. Treasurer TheTreasurer,RulingElderDonMarshall,reportedregardingthepresbytery’s finances.HereportedthattheO’Fallon,Illinois,propertysalewouldcloseinAugust.He hadresearchedthesourceoffundsfortheoriginalpurchaseanddeterminedthatthefunds camefromseveralsourcesincludingtheRevolvingLoanFund. TheRevolvingLoanFundbalanceiscurrently$232,000and$150,000ofthatis investedwithPresbyterianInvestmentandLoanPrograminordertosecurealower interestrateontheSt.CharlesPresbyterianChurchloan.Thefundbeganinthelate1970’s Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy, MINUTES, June 11, 2015 orearly1980’sduetohighinterestratesatthetime.Onemilliondollarswasusedfromthe fundin2005tocoverexpenseoveragesonthepresbyteryofficebuildingrenovation. ThenetproceedsfromtheO’Fallonpropertysalewillbeappliedat8%tothe ChurchDevelopmentFund,2%totheLeadershipTeamunrestrictedfund,and90%tothe HeldPropertiesFundtomaintainchurchpropertiesuntiltheyaresold. TheModeratorresumedthechairandthankedtheViceModeratorforher leadership. NewWorshipingCommunitiesAdministrativeCommission TheRev.Dr.JohnShear,moderatoroftheNewWorshipingCommunities AdministrativeCommission,reportedforthecommission. Dr.ShearreportedontheprogressofUKirk.TheRev.MiriamFoltzispastorofthe ministryandiscooperatingwithcampusministriessponsoredbytheELCAandthe EpiscopalChurch(USA).SummerprogramswereheldinTowerGrovePark.A$9,000grant wasreceivedfromGeneralAssemblyalongwith$20,000fromindividualdonorsand churchsessions. Thecommission’snextmeetingwillbeheldatSouthamptoninSt.Louis.Amen HouseatOakHillPresbyterianChurchhasprovidedmanyvolunteerhoursworkingonthe buildingthissummer.TheSOHAMinistriesbeganaFacebookpage.Apastoralsearchis underwaywithseveralcandidatesunderconsideration. ThecommissionreportedthattheLivingWatersNCDprojectwassuspendeddueto fundinglimitationsandhealthconcernsforoneoftheorganizingpastors.Thecommission reviewedtheprojectandnotedhowmuchtheyhadlearnedalongtheway.Theministry fundswereauditedandthebalancereturned.TheRev.Dr.DanAnderson‐Littlespoke abouttheexperienceandencouragedthepresbyterytoexperimentmorenotless.
