Neighbors, family, church, school, club, friends, etc. 7th – Create a letter to explain what your project is and how you are asking for their help. We have created two letter templates that can be downloaded from our website. One letter is for bag drop off collections and the second is for collection box locations. Print the letter that is appropriate for you, fill in the blanks, and make the necessary copies for distribution. When you ask for their participation, attaching the letter will give the participants a better understanding of who you are and why you are doing a collection. A helpful tool for your collection is to provide a bag for the donated items. We have created labels that you can print and put on the bags as a reminder for your collectors. This can be a regular plastic or paper bag, or we have bags available for you as well. 8th – Report back to us with your success and let us know if you need any help with the drop off. We would love to be there to take your picture and congratulate you on a successful collection. 9th – Complete the drop off at your selected location. Finally, sit back, relax and pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Your collection will make a difference in many lives in our area. Congratulations! THE GIVING TREE
