Basic computer operating knowledge. Blackboard literate.
To develop a chronological analysis and evaluation and study of Western Art beginning
with Renaissance period (1400) and ending with the coverage of Modern Art to the present.
To establish recognition and identification of major artists and works as related to periods
and styles of art.
To understand Modern Art as representative of current philosophies. Correlations will be
made with previous historic periods.

8.The student will be able to contemplate the inspirational and motivational focus behind
human artist creativity within the historical scope and artistic tradition applied toward
critical analysis and evaluation of art works.

form must be signed and in your records located in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office.
Any Blackboard Unit missed reduces the opportunity for learning and could have an adverse
effect on the final earned grade in the course. It’s the student’s responsibility to follow the
schedule listed under the Course Calendar and complete each Unit in a timely manner by
adhering to the written deadlines.
Withdrawal procedures and deadlines for semesters are published in the current college catalog. “If a
student is unable to complete the entire course for any reason s/he should initiate a withdrawal form from
the Admissions Office by the withdrawal deadline.” Otherwise a letter grade will be calculated in relation to
the total course.
