Transdev Awarded Contract Extension in Jefferson Parish, LA Jefferson Parish, LA – February 19, 2015 – The Jefferson Parish Transit Administration awarded a two-­‐
year extension to its existing contract with Transdev on January 28, 2015. Transdev provides fixed route bus and paratransit services for 2.1 millions passengers in Jefferson Parish each year. Transdev has proudly operated the Jefferson Transit (JeT) system for over 60 years! Transdev provides operations and maintenance services for JeT, utilizing 58 vehicles and 122 employees for fixed route bus and paratransit services. “We have been honored to serve Jefferson Parish for the past 60+ years and look forward to continuing to offer excellent service. We are committed to supporting our client in making the transit system even more attractive to riders by introducing some new passenger conveniences such as real-­‐time bus arrival information.
