Teacher Info – Southwest Asia’s
Geography Gallery Walk
•
Print and cut out the 30 task cards. (You may wish to laminate them so that you
can use them again next year. Also, to save ink, you may want to print in black
and white.) Tape the cards around your classroom & hallway, spacing them out
so that they aren’t too close together.
•
Project the directions slide onto the board and give each student a response
sheet. (I recommend printing front & back so that it’s 1 page.) Discuss the
Gallery Walk rules with your students: 1-2 students per card, whispering only (or
no talking at all), walk from card to card, plus any other expectations that you
have in your classroom.
•
The students will move around the room and record their answers to the task
cards onto their response sheets. When finished, they should return to their
desks.
