The VT component parts were designed for maximum flexibility thus allowing our configuration centers to quickly change from 2 to 3 lamp or any other configuration. (see question below for more about ceiling trims) Offering Do we intend to offer a 1 x 4 configuration? For applications requiring 1 x 4 we recommend our RT 1 X 4 Why is the VT offered with faceted reflectors as standard and smooth as an option? The VT, like all of our Volumetric fixtures was designed for even illumination across the reflector system and also provides visually a quiet ceiling. The faceted reflector provides the same lighted appearance that the market has embraced with the RT5 thus faceted is our standard. The smooth does provide a slightly different lighted appearance and, like our competitors that provide smooth, less uniformity and higher contrast to the ceiling. When do you intend to offer perf and other shielding? The addition of other shielding is in our plan but we do not expect any additional offering in CY10. Will there be a Relight option? Our Relight development team is addressing this configuration and intends to offer in the future. Is this product suitable for USPOM? Yes, add the appropriate code. Please note there is a price adder. Are there any lamp or ballast stipulations for the VT? The VT is recommended with our standard offering of generic ballast options. volumetric troffer for performance aesthetics & value VT Construction Is this product suitable for 9/16” and 15/16” ceiling systems? The VT is unique in the area of ceiling adaptation. The same product will easily fit both 9/16” and 15/16” ceiling systems while maintaining the clean ceiling appearance. Unlike other products in the market, the trim on the fixture allows the VT to sit on standard 15/16” T-bars and cleanly fit into 9/16” by allowing the fixture to protrude into the room slightly like a kerfed ceiling tile, thus providing a clean transition from the T-bar to the fixture. The same trim creates a clean, flush fit with a 9/16” slot-grid T-bar. How do you access the ballast? A simple three-step process of removing the diffuser, the lamps, then releasing the ballast cover. VT volumetric troffer How do I remove the diffuser? To remove push on one side of the diffuser until it slides to one side and with other lamp pull the diffuser down. Hidden latching will retain the diffuser and it will hinge in place from one side. General VT What does “VT” stand for? Volumetric Troffer. The VT provides a volumetric light-distribution similar to our RT, though less shielded at high angles. Will samples be distributed to agents? We will make available VT samples in standard configurations by request. Please contact your SSM to request your sample. Avante The appearance of the Avante and VT are similar. Which product should we offer to the market? The Avante and VT provide different features and benefits and each satisfy different needs in the market. The Avante is clearly the choice for styling, direct/indirect appearance and clients that prefer a variety of shielding options. The VT offers a number of other features such as high efficiency, low profile and Volumetric performance. Included in this document is a comparison between the VT and AV which clearly defines the differences between the products based on key attributes.
