It is with a very heavy heart
that we must tell you about the
passing of Kathy Honan, one
of our very valued employees
at the Dawn Library. Kathy
came to work for the library in
September of 2011 when we
opened the new Dawn Library.
She brought experience and a
lifetime of stories to the library.

her, and she was a very loved
member of the library’s family.
However, what Kathy enjoyed
most of all was the times children came into the library.
They brightened her day and
we know she brightened theirs
in return.
When Kathy passed, her hus-
H o n a n
band, Geoffrey, requested that
in lieu of flowers people make
donations to the library. These
donations are being used to
purchase new children’s books
at the Dawn branch.
Kathy believed in the power of
a good education and reading,
to Kathy, was the key.
Having lived in the Dawn area
for over 30 years, Kathy was
known by many people. She
touched many people’s lives
and hearts throughout her life.
At work, Kathy could always be
counted on to stop what she
was doing and help anyone
with any number of questions
or problems. Her fellow employees enjoyed working with
