Brilliant Brains Book Club School Program
Since 2007, Nature’s Fare Markets has teamed up with local schools to promote literacy and
healthy living with children in grades K–7. Students are encouraged to read at least 20 minutes
a day, 5 days a week. Students who meet their reading goal each month receive a free treat
(up to $5 value) from Nature’s Fare Markets. They can also enter the draw to win a grand prize.
One winner is drawn at the end of the school year for each Nature’s Fare Markets location
that has a participating school in their area.
Program Outline
The program starts in September and runs until June at local schools or home
schools. Every student in grades K–7 is eligible to participate. At the beginning of each month, the teacher will give students a Monthly Reading Record
bookmark to record their home reading on. Each student reads at their own
level and marks a star on the bookmark each day they read. Parents or guardians are encouraged to supervise the students progress and signs the bookmark
