Day 7: Optional Day Trip to Tangier, Morocco Day 6 : Costa el Sol – Gibraltar – Ronda You will need a few British Pounds in your pocket and don’t forget your passport today as we head west to the British Territory of Gibraltar for a ½ day guided tour, including a cable car ride reaching the summit at 1,400 feet above sea level, a visit to St. Michaels cave, & O’Hara’s Battery, the highest point in Gibraltar, plus the famous tailless Barbary Monkeys, & the Pillar of Hercules viewpoint. Next we visit the peaceful whitewashed Andalusian hill town of Ronda, where we will have free time for shopping, exploring, or perhaps take a tour of Spain’s oldest bullring and museum. Dinner tonight is at the Hard Rock Café Marbella, Spain. Enjoy a free day of shopping, relaxing on the Mediterranean Beach, or embark on a magical journey across the Straits of Gibraltar to the land of snake charmers, belly dancers, street markets, & Kasbahs. From the moment you step foot upon African soil, Tangier will take you back in time and create a memory that will last a lifetime. Prepare to stand in awe as we stroll along the same river w alk that launched the 16th century voyages of Amerigo Vespucci, Ferdinand Magellan, & Christopher Columbus. Day 9: Seville – Cordoba -­‐ Toledo This morning we take a short drive to Cordoba to see the amazing Mesquita, which was once an Islamic Mosque, and now a 16th century church. From Cordoba we head north to Spain’s former capital and medieval town, Toledo. Here we will visit the Cathedral, and Santo Tome which hosts El Greco’s famous “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz” along with 15 others. Tonight we end with our “Adios Spain Fiesta”, with dinner, music and dancing. Day 8: Costa del Sol – Jerez – Seville First stop today is the Frontier town of Jerez. Known for their equestrian art, and world famous Sherry Bodegas. The afternoon finds us in Seville, visiting: the Alcazar, the Cathedral, which is the World’s largest Gothic Church, and hosts Columbus’ tomb. Time permiting we will climb the Giralda Bell Tower, and then a guided tour of the Bullring & Bullfight Museum. Day 10: Toledo – Madrid -­‐ Tampa Say farewell to Spain, and our trip of a lifetime, as we head to Madrid’s Airport to catch our flight back to Tampa.
