Genwall™ and Genwall Single Pass™
Genwall is a complete wall system able to weather-in a structure in
a single pass and skin the structure in a second pass. Genwall is
comprised of an Enhanced Substrate System™ referred to as Genwall
Single Pass and a Genwall certified and tested outer skin. Current
tested skins include Seiccoline-G, Revelar-G Dri-Design-G, Centria
metal panels, masonry and EIFS. The unique design of Genwall provides
an air-barrier, moisture-barrier, insulation, rainscreen and outer skin
with total wall values up to R21 in two, easy-to-install steps. Genwall
eliminates the need for separate batt or board insulation, exterior
gypsum board sheathing, air barriers, vapor retarders, and building
wraps, while providing better thermal efficiency and moisture control
for exterior clad walls.
Genwall Single Pass is an Enhanced Substrate System designed to
be used with a variety of untested outer skins to create a complete
wall system. The unique composite design of Genwall Single Pass
provides an air-barrier, moisture-barrier, insulation and outer skin
fastening system. Total wall values up to R21 in a single, easy-to-install
component that serves as an Enhanced Substrate System for the
application of a wide variety of untested exterior skin claddings.
Genwall and Genwall Single Pass are designed for use with vertical or
horizontal exterior cladding products, including corrugated, perforated,
MCM panel systems, masonry and EIFS. This exciting new product
maximizes a metal wall system’s ability to effectively control moisture
without sacrificing thermal efficiency. The energy and cost savings of
Genwall make it a valuable choice for architects across the country.
Genwall, with steel stud construction and interior gypsum board finish,
is available with an overall thermal resistance of R-14 (for 2-inch) or
R-21 (for 3-inch).
