Greetings from the USA! August 2015 What a tremendous, fun, crazy time we have had here in the USA! We have been so loved and welcomed at the homes of friends and supporters and in our supporting churches. It has been wonderful praising and worshipping the Lord together with brothers and sisters in Christ as well as sharing all that God is doing in the Amazon and preaching His Word. What a wonderful privilege we all have to “SHINE FOR JESUS” wherever we are! Lori and Wilson Kannenberg Missionaries to the Amazon, Brazil, S.A. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 M The middle of July, we CELEBRATED FAMILY at our tri-annual family reunion. It was held at the Windermere Baptist Conference Center in MO. We had four incredible days touching base with 67 of us out of 80 some. TIME FOR TEA! The week started off with a rousing game of FAMILY BINGO, matching names to pictures! Special activities included an evening of team water sports competitions and relays, Family Olympics, a morning at the conference center’s water park, a ladies tea in honor and memory of my mom (Dorothy Narwold), kid’s birthday bash (one for the 48 yr. olds and another for kids from 9-12), awards night and swimming in the pool or at the lake. There was LOTS of precious time to connect with each other while preparing meals and in between activities. After the reunion, we headed out to Arkansas to visit Leighann’s parents at their cabins for two nights. The view of the mountains was spectacular and we enjoyed a lazy and beautiful float down the Buffalo River. Wonderful friends in IL graciously loaned us one of their cars and we were so sad when it overheated and we had to leave it in AK after trying everything possible to fix it. Ben came, picked us up and took us to their home in MO. From there we headed for Oshkosh, WI to meet up with the rest of our immediate family to spend a day together at the airshow along with Matt, a close friend of Joshua’s and adopted member of our family . (Matt was taking this picture.) Joshua, Leighann, Ben, Lucas, Jessica, Brandon, Julie, Lori, Wilson Wilson and I are presently settled in WI until August 23 and are thoroughly enjoying our time at supporting churches and visiting more friends and ministry partners. It was a special blessing to have Ben, Jessica and baby Lucas with us for the first week and spend an amazing day at the zoo together. Our special thanks to Chollette, a ministry partner and full time zookeeper, who helped to make this all possible! We will be heading back to IL the end of August and are looking forward to meeting up with many of you until the end of September. THANK YOU so much for upholding us in prayer and pouring out your love on us everywhere we go! Thank You for your partnership in the ministries and your faithfulness in helping us reach the lost for Christ throughout the Amazon.
