t may be hard to believe, but the summer break is right around the corner. Which means now is the time to start thinking
about how you’ll fill that stretch of empty weeks marking your children’s calendars. Whether they have a hobby they’re
passionate about or want to try something new, summer is the perfect time for kids to explore an activity that intrigues
them. And with dozens of cultural venues located right here in Central Florida offering a variety of structured day camps,
you don’t have to look far for options. From dance classes to visual art programs and everything in between, here are just
some of the ways to keep kids of all ages engaged during the school break.

This course is a great option for students
who are involved in theater but want to
learn how to translate their craft to film.
Advanced Film Making

This course embraces other unique styles of
filming and techniques, including, but not
limited to, guerilla-style filming. Students
will work together to create original scripts,
act in, direct, film and edit their own original
films.
Editing

This course is strictly editing. Students will
receive an already-filmed sequence of shots
and will have to create a story based on
what they’ve received.
Make a Movie
Grades 2-5, 6-9 and 10-12; 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Campers will create an original short movie.
Students learn how to use consumer
cameras, write original scripts, act, direct,
film and edit.
TV News
Grades 2-5, 6-9 and 10-12; 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Students will delve into the art of journalism
and create their very own 10-minute
newscast. All students will learn to write,
shoot and edit their own stories.

Intensive Painting

Students will explore a variety of painting
media, including acrylic, watercolor,
gouache and encaustic, as they learn color

Participants will discover the power of
pastel as they work in chalk pastel, oil pastel

Every morning presents a new adventure as
campers explore Chinese landscape
painting, linocut printmaking, weaving, and

Kids will work with a variety of materials,
such as plaster, clay, papier-mâché and
buckram as they create masks that are

Kids will learn clay hand-building techniques
to create their own ceramic menagerie of

Kids will learn about the sculpture of Dale
Chihuly and other glass artists as they
