The Saviour
g Left
to her own devices, TEEBS will destroy the
planet in a course of months
g TEEBS can be totally destroyed
g A 6 month bombardment of high potency missiles,
launched once per day, 5 days per week for 6
months
TADSA
The Saviour
g If
the bombardment is adhered to, all remnants of
TEEBS will be killed and the planet will be TEEBS
free
g Failure to bombard 5 days per week for 6 months
can lead to the development of MDR TB - a mutant
TEEBS, resistant to the normal cavalry bombardment
which will only respond to very expensive missiles
TADSA
Part 2 of the game
g TEEBS
and HIVY launch a dual attack to speed up
the destruction of the planet

TB IN THE WORKPLACE

TB in the workplace
g Who
can suggest some reasons why an employee
with the symptoms mentioned may fear going to a
doctor?
g Private
practitioners in middle class areas often do
not suspect TB
TADSA
TB in the workplace
g When
people at work hear that Melanie has TB,
– what is the first assumption they will jump to?
– how are they going to feel sitting next to her and
sharing facilities with her?
– who is most likely to be blamed for ‘bringing TB into
the office’? Surely Melanie, from a previously
advantaged background and living in Norwood, can’t
be blamed

Some facts about TB
g We
can expect an increase in the number of TB
cases our workplace will have to deal with
g We can expect an increase in TB in ‘non-traditional’
populations - we tend to associate TB with the poor
and poor living conditions
g A person with TB is only infectious for the first 2
weeks of (correct) treatment
g People diagnosed with TB should be given 2 weeks
sick leave
g After 2 weeks they should be reassessed
TADSA
Some facts about TB
g After
2 weeks they can return to work without
putting co-workers at risk. They are no longer
infectious and pose no threat, even to HIV positive
persons.
g TB patients on correct treatment will not infect other
people
