because I like to fix problems
between people and states that have
conflicts with each other. I helped
with the Missouri Compromise of 1820,
the Tariff Compromise of 1833 and
the Compromise of 1850.

Sanford. I fought for my freedom but
was denied by Chief Justice Roger
Taney’s decision in my case because
he thinks of me as someone’s
