Hyundai Foreign School Anti-Graft Policy
Due to a recent change in Korean anti-corruption law teachers are now unable to
accept gifts or gratuities. This includes all forms of individual gifts and group gifts.
Even though you mean well, giving these gifts could put the teacher and the school
in legal trouble.
Gifts are only able to be accepted in the following circumstances;
1. Teachers may receive gifts from parents/students who are leaving the
school.
2. Teachers who are leaving the school may receive gifts.
3. There may be a celebration arranged for all the teachers at the end of the
year.
We ask that in all of these cases parents wait until assessments are complete
and reports have been sent out.
Gift giving is a personal choice and families are in no way obligated to give gifts in
the above permissible circumstances.
Cards are allowed to be given at any time.
