Bake Sale
Dear First Grade Parents,
For a special Lenten service project, the first grade is putting on a bake
sale to raise money for an organization to be determined. The bake sale will be on
Thursday, March 30th and Friday, March 31st. The last few years the sale became a twoday event! We are asking for children to bring in baked goods/treats the morning that your
child is assigned. Please write your last name on the container or plate you send in and it
will be returned! Please bring in 2-3 dozen individually wrapped treats– the more the better!
We will have a special peanut/nut free table. Please label if your item is nut free.

Peanut Free/Tree Nut Free Baking Items
It is very important to read labels each time. Foods are NOT safe if the label has
statements such as “May contain traces of peanut/tree nut…” or “Made on
equipment used in manufacturing or processing nut products…” or “Made in a
facility that manufactures or processes nuts…”.
The following list includes safe items as of this date but it is important to confirm
on the label. Also, the most important thing is to keep the workspace free of
nuts, peanut butter residue from other meals.
Attach part of the box to your contribution, so we are ensured it is nut free. We
have had a problem with students just saying it was.
