• Purple Chimp™ Print & Iron cotton fabric sheets: 1 sheet per pennant
• Computer and color ink jet printer
• 1/4 yd fabric per pennant
• 1/4 yd heavy weight interfacing per pennant
• 25” rickrack per pennant
• Extra-wide double-fold bias tape
• Fabric gluestick
DIRECTIONS: 1/4” seam allowance used throughout. RS = Right side.WS = Wrong side.
1.From each fabric cut two pennant triangles 9”x13”.
2.From interfacing, cut one triangle 9”x13” per pennant.
3.Using computer create a 6½”x 8½” triangle. Position letter or design within triangle. Following manufacturer’s
instructions, print pennant on Purple Chimp™ sheet. Cut out triangle from Purple Chimp™ sheet.
4.Center printed pennant design on RS of one pennant fabric following the manufacturer’s instructions.
5.Apply rickrack to inside of pennant design using fabric gluestick, then stitch in place.
6.Iron interfacing to WS of second pennant fabric following manufacturer’s instructions.
7.Pin pennant fabricsRS together and stitch along two long edges. Clip bottom point. Turn pennant RS out and press.
8.Enclose the pennant tops in bias tape and pin. Leave 1” between each pennant and enough bias tape at outside
edges to hang. Stitch bias tape to finish.
