Tuzzi Women's Coats
Tuzzi women's coats use the finest Spanish merino hides available,
concentrating on a particular quality with clearness of skin and fullness of
hair. All hides are dyed by hand by traditional European artisans. The
tannery uses special dye process that does not involve harmful or azodyes, using both modern and traditional dyeing techniques. The vegetable
tanning process uses traditional chestnut tannins to "bloom" the natural
texture of the hide.
Our Long Shealing coat uses an exquiste Nubuck skin that is that is
sandblasted with micro glass spheres to smooth away any imperfections in
the leather and to ready the skin for the fast and even dye process.
Most style use a hand applied oilskin process to enhance the even and rich
texture of the natural hide. Our only leather style coat uses an old world
finish to impart a rich soft hand.
All coats are cut by the most skilled craftsmen in Italy. The coats use many
hand and machine sewing operations to ensure resilient strength and
flexibility. Pockets are attached using an old world looping technique that
allows for a secure but practical fit that lies flat against the body.
