Studentswhoaregivenpermissiontodrivetotheprogramsitemustabidebythefollowingrules: A. Thevehicleistobeparkedinanareadesignatedbytheprograminstructor. B. VIOLATION OF RULES EachCareerandTechnicalEducationPrograminstructorhasestablishedasetofrulesfortheoperation ofhis/herclass.Thismayincludeitemssuchaslabcleanliness,puttingtoolsawayandcompletionof assignments.Eachinstructorwilladministerdisciplinaryactionsconcerningviolationsofclassrulesand procedures.Continuedviolationsofprogramruleswillbediscussedwiththestudent’shighschool administration. ThehighschoolwillbenotifiedIMMEDIATELYofthefollowingsuspectedorconfirmedviolations. ConfirmedviolationsofanyofthefollowingwillresultinImpactInstitutesrecommendationfor immediateremovalfromprogramparticipationtothestudent’shighschool: A. Thesale,consumption,orpossessionofalcohol,marijuana,stimulate,intoxicants,narcotics, depressantsorhallucinogensofanykindwhichrepresenttobe,orlooklike,orprovidessimilar effectsasoneoftheabove. B. Possessionofanyweaponorlookalikeonschoolgrounds. C. VandalismoftheCTEfacilityand/orequipment,includingtheft.ImpactInstitutereservesthe righttoimmediatelyremoveanystudentcaughtstealingfromImpactproperty,students,or staff. D. HabitualviolationsofImpactInstitutesrulesandregulations. E. Fightingand/orhorseplaythatputsstudent’ssafetyinanimmediatedangerousorharmful situation. Otherbehaviorsthatdisrupttheschooldaymayalsobereportedtohighschooladministration.The followingareexamples: A. Fightingand/orhorseplay B. Thesale,possessionoruseoftobaccoortobaccoproductsorlookalike.Lookalikeproduct examplesare(butnotlimitedto)E-Cigarettes,VapePens,etc. C. LeavingtheCTEProgramwithoutpermission-truancy. D. Insubordination,profanity,bullying,obsceneordegradinglanguageorgesturestoanyfellow students,guestsofImpactInstitute,orstaffmembers. E. Excessivetardinessorabsenteeism F. Otherbehaviorsthatwoulddisruptfromanormalschooldayorlearningenvironment. EMERGENCY MEDICAL PROCEDURES CTELabsandequipmentarewellmaintainedandguardedtopreventaccidentalinjury.Studentsare alsoprovidedsafetyinstructiononeachpieceofequipmentandareobservedbytheinstructoronthe initialuse.Occasionally,accidentsmayoccurorcarelessnessbythestudentwillresultininjury. Wehaveadoptedthefollowingproceduresincaseofinjury: A. Eachprogramwillmaintainastudentemergencyrecordfileindicatingtheparent’srequestfor medicalproviders B. Intheeventofaseriousinjury,whichrequiresimmediatemedicalattention,thestudentwillbe transportedtothenearesthealthfacility(oftheparentsrequest)bythelocalambulance provider.THEPARENTORGUARDIANWILLBENOTIFIEDIMMEDIATELYOFSUCHACTION. C. Intheeventofaminorinjury,whichisdeterminedbytheprograminstructororadministration torequiremedicalattention,theparent/guardianwillbeinformedandexpectedtoprovidethe necessaryproceduresformedicalservice. D. StudentsenrolledinIMPACTInstituteCareerandTechnicalEducationprogramsaresubjectto drugtestingiftheyareinjuredORcauseinjurytoanotherstudentorinstructorduringthe courseoftheprogram.TheIMPACTInstitutewillpaydrug-testingfees. STUDENTSSHOULDBECOVEREDUNDERTHEIRPARENT/GUARDIAN’SHEALTHINSURANCEPOLICY.
