SWIMMING COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT WORLD SENIOR GAMES The European Sport for All Federation is hosting a swimming competition, as part of the World Senior Games, held under the aid of the General Secretariat of Sports. The swimming events will be held in the swimming pool of Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, equipped with electronic timing system, on the 9th and 10th of June 2017. fit and capable of competing and submit it along with a formal declaration, assuming full responsibility of the risks in competing in the competition and waiving and release the Organizing Committee form any kind of liability for accidents, which may cause death and/or injury. The swimming competition will be held on the 9th and 10th of June. Preliminaries will be conducted on the first day and finals on the second. During the preliminaries, swimmers of all age groups will compete in heats, making sure that similar age groups are placed in each heat. The eight fastest swimmers will be announced by age group. In the finals, only the eight fastest swimmers of each age group are eligible for competing and their placement in the final heats will be according to their performance in the preliminaries. Medals and diplomas will be awarded to the first three athletes of all individual events and relays. Diplomas will be awarded to all eight finalists of each event. Participants who want to compete in the relays will have to register for them in the front desk up until an hour before the competition begins.
