The tour concludes at a deluxe camp right on the Zambezi River nearby the mighty Victoria Falls. Daily Itinerary
DAY ONE: ARRIVAL JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA One of our friendly representa5ves will meet your flight into Johannesburg Interna5onal Airport (look for your name on a signboard) private transfer to your hotel in Rosebank, a cosmopolitan part of Johannesburg to refresh and relax prior to mee5ng your fellow travelling companions for welcome drinks and dinner. Overnight accommoda5on and dinner: Luxury room at the bou5que 54 on Bath, Johannesburg !
DAY TWO: JOHANNESBURG -­‐ KULALA DESERT LODGE, NAMIB DESERT, NAMIBIA Meet your private aircraV this morning for the flight out into the desert. Once on the ground you will be met by your guides and transferred the short distance to the Lodge. In the aVernoon enjoy a nature drive in the private reserve looking for oryx, springbok and ostrich. Kulala Desert Lodge is situated within the arid Namib Desert on a private Wilderness Reserve. The lodge comprises 15 thatched and canvas ‘kulalas’ (‘to sleep’ in shiwambo) with en-­‐suite bathrooms and verandas overlooking the plains. DAY THREE: KULALA WILDERNESS RESERVE, NAMIBIA
Early morning enjoy a guided excursion to the spectacular dunes of Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei, an enormous clay pan flanked by the famous red sand dunes that stand out starkly against the blue sky. The ‘vlei’ itself only fills aVer rare heavy rainfall when, in a complete turn-­‐around, it becomes a spectacular turquoise lake. This aVernoon enjoy a drive out to the canyon with ‘sundowners’ on the way home. !
DAY FOUR: KULALA DESERT LODGE -­‐ WALVIS BAY -­‐ ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK, NAMIBIA
This morning your flight path is over the Namib Desert and along the Skeleton Coast to Swakopmund. Here, depar5ng from the yacht club, guests embark on a boat cruise that promises excep5onal viewing of bird and marine life such as fur seals, dolphin, turtles, flamingo to name just a few. Lunch showcases local seafood and is served on the beach. This aVernoon your pilot will fly you onward to Etosha Na5onal Park. Accommoda5on and meals for the next two nights is at your luxurious oasis, Ongava Tented Camp DAY FIVE: ONGAVA PRIVATE RESERVE, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK, NAMIBIA
Africa’s largest salt pan forms the centre piece to this unique wilderness, a chain of waterholes ensures excep5onal, uninterrupted game viewing. The camp itself is deluxe with spacious, en suite tents. The central area is posi5oned over an ac5ve waterhole and game viewing provides frequent sigh5ngs of cheetah, lion, elephant and hartebeest. Private wildlife viewing drives with highly qualified guides promises abundant sigh5ngs of African game.
DAY SIX: ETOSHA -­‐ NHOMA SAFARI CAMP, NORTHERN KALAHARI, NAMIBIA AVer breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nhoma where you will be met by your personal guides and transferred by vehicle to camp. This is a small, ac5vity-­‐oriented, tented camp situated in the north east of Namibia, on a dune vegetated with Zambesi teak trees with a 180 degree view over the Nhoma omuramba (fossil river bed). The camp is adjacent to the Ju/’hoan Bushman tribal village. AVernoon ac5vi5es of the villagers may include cooking, making craVs, preparing hides, making hun5ng equipment such as quivers or arrows, preparing medicine. Accommoda5on and meals for the next two nights at the comfortable and authen5c Nhoma Safari Camp. DAY SEVEN: KALAHARI WITH THE BUSHMEN, NAMIBIA
Today guests are taken on a hun5ng/gathering excursion with four na5ve hunters. Skills such as fire and rope making, plus sefng of traps for birds and antelope are demonstrated. Because the Ju/‘hoan are s5ll ac5ve hunters, we will follow promising tracks and the walk can turn into an actual hunt. The dura5on and intensity of the walk depends on the fitness of the guests and is adaptable. Honey and veld food is also ac5vely sought. In the aVernoon, the community awaits the return of the hunters to see what they have brought back. The whole community will then par5cipate in tradi5onal games. This is followed by the giraffe or elephant healing dances in the evening aVer dinner, through which the healers reach an altered state of consciousness whereby they can cure illness. !
DAY EIGHT: NHOMA -­‐ MAUN -­‐ LITTLE KWARA, OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
This morning you will be flown into Botswana and out over the Okavango Delta, simply breathtaking from the air. The Ligle Kwara guides will take you by 4WD in to camp. Situated on an island in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, it is a beau5ful five-­‐roomed tented camp shaded by the canopy of an ancient forest. Each tent is large and roomy and has en-­‐suite facili5es. A plunge pool and reading area overlook the floodplains and a star deck leads off the dining area a great place to spot the na5ve wildlife like hippopotamus and elephant. Accommoda5on and meals for the next three nights is at the luxurious and in5mate LiPle Kwara Camp. Here you will be able to truly immerse yourself in this wonderful region which promises numerous wildlife sigh5ngs. DAYS NINE & TEN: LITTLE KWARA, OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
Two full days explora5on of this vast private concession in the Okavango Delta. There is a 3 vehicle limit on all wildlife sigh5ngs so you will never struggle to get great photographs as you will prac5cally have the en5re place to yourselves. Leopard, lion, cheetah all inhabit the area as it is abundant with their prey (impala, kudu, wildebeest, antelope). !
DAY ELEVEN: LITTLE KWARA -­‐ KWANDO LAGOON CAMP, LINYANTI WETLANDS, BOTSWANA
It’s only a short flight from Ligle Kwara to your next camp, your guides from Kwando Lagoon Camp will meet you at the airfield. Within this private concession predator sigh5ngs of lion, cheetah and wild dogs are good. Elephant viewing is amongst the best anywhere, especially in the cooler months. Plains game viewing should reward you with zebra, giraffe and hippo. Night drives on the Channel are superb, and bird watching opportuni5es abound. Accommoda5on and meals for the next two nights is at the deluxe Kwando Lagoon Camp. !
DAY TWELVE: KWANDO LAGOON CAMP, LINYANTI WETLANDS, BOTSWANA Another full day to explore the northern reaches of the wetlands. Wild dogs are common in the area as are ogers and fishing is also available. The camp’s 22 staff outnumber the maximum number of guests so you are assured of a peaceful and enjoyable stay. !
DAY THIRTEEN: KWANDO RIVER -­‐ TOKA LEYA CAMP, VICTORIA FALLS, ZAMBIA This morning you will be flown across into Zambia’s Livingstone airport via the thunderous Victoria Falls. From the airport, it’s a short trip to Toka Leya Camp located on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Spacious en-­‐suite safari-­‐
style tents are linked by wooden walkways. Lodge ac5vi5es include a tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, game drives in the Mosi-­‐oa-­‐Tunya (‘the smoke that thunders’) Na5onal Park, river cruises, tour of Livingstone town and the David Livingstone museum with the local curio shops and village school included. Accommoda5on and meals for the next two nights is at the very luxurious Toka Leya Camp
DAY FOURTEEN: ZAMBEZI RIVER, ZAMBIA
Spend the day enjoying the many ac5vi5es on offer. Visits to Mkuni Market and Simonga Village
are all outstanding ways of learning about the people and culture of this part of Zambia. Tiger fishing and a private group sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River can be arranged. !
DAY FIFTEEN: VICTORIA FALLS -­‐ JOHANNESBURG , SOUTH AFRICA AVer breakfast you will be transferred a short distance by road to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg, either extending your 5me in Africa or con5nuing homeward bound. !

Air Adventure Australia was founded by Rod Dyer (1925-­‐2008). Rod, a pastoralist and bush pilot of over 10,000 hours pioneered ‘Ellenbrae’ cagle sta5on in the Kimberley back in the 1960s. It was the combina5on of Rod’s knowledge and love of the outback and flying that led him to launch Air Adventure. Since 1977, thousands of travellers have chosen Air Adventure to fly them to the Australia less-­‐travelled. The company is guided by Rod’s son, John Dyer who is also a pilot and very passionate about crea5ng high quality travel experiences spanning the en5rety of the Australian con5nent. His team at Air Adventure share his enthusiasm and dedica5on to create unforgegable travel for their guests.
