What is the MBTI? The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) I is the most widely used personality preference instrument in the world. The MBTI assesses an individual’s preferences. It does not assess skills, aptitude, or abilities. This instrument is useful in understanding why you approach tasks one way and why others approach them differently. Specifically for law students, the MBTI can provide practical insight for how you can utilize your MBTI Type as a tool for: • Academic success and study techniques for law school • Career strategy and your transition into the legal profession • Effective communication with classmates and colleagues • Leadership development What is the Process for Completing the MBTI and learning my Type at Stetson? Step 1: Complete the Assessment Online by clicking here or copying the below URL into your browser. The assessment will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete online. You must complete the assessment by noon the day before your workshop. http://online.cpp.com/en/CPPLandingPage.aspx?projectId=3eba5300-ffcd-4106-8237-525240390e93 Step 2: Attend a MBTI Group Verification Workshop In order to receive your assessment results, you will need to register for and attend one complete MBTI Group Verification Workshop. If you have completed the MBTI assessment while at Stetson and have attended a Group Verification Workshop (offered in Fall 2014 and Fall 2015) and remember your verified Type, you do not have to attend another Group Verification Workshop. You are, however, welcome to attend. If you have completed the MBTI assessment while at Stetson and have attended an individual verification appointment, you are expected to attend a Group Verification Workshop and may retake the assessment online, if you wish (and especially if you do not remember your verified Type). If you have previously attended a Group Verification Workshop (offered in Fall 2014 and Fall 2015) and would like a refresher course, you are welcome to attend any workshop.
