There is no such thing as being fluoride deficient!

Dear Des Moines Water Works Staff,
Southern Ontario has just joined the majority of Canadians in rejecting water fluoridation. Our
Windsor City Council, on the advisory of our utility company, recently stopped artificial
fluoridation. Their reasons were based on the facts that:




toxicological studies for the fluoridation chemical H2SiF6 required by the standard
NSF60 are absent
medicating the water supply with a chemical that is classified as a persistent, bioaccumulative toxin is does not meet the objective in providing the safest, cleanest water
possible
artificial fluoridation violates the right to informed consent to be medicated
like any toxin, fluoridation chemicals discriminate – hurting those that have the poorest
nutrition, poorest immune system or poor kidney function the most.
Today, we are exposed to numerous fluoride-based pesticide and fumigant residues along with
other fluoride sources such as: phosphate fertilizer production, aluminum smelting, uranium
enrichment facilities, coal-burning and nuclear power plants, incinerators, glass etching,
petroleum refining, wood preservatives, Scotch-guard, refrigerants and fluorinated
pharmaceuticals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorine#cite_note-vvvvvv-136 Instant tea
powder has the highest detected fluoride residue – a whopping 897.72 ppm!
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/Fluoride/Fluoride.html Eating commercially
processed foods (soups, reconstituted juices, sodas, beer…) and let’s not forget dental products,
which have clear warning labels “not to swallow” all raise fluoride levels in our blood
plasma. Yet we are told by public health officials we need to have the water supplemented. Has
anyone ever taken blood or urine samples from the community to determine we need more
fluoride? NO.
There is no such thing as being fluoride deficient!
According to the *World Health Organization, fluoride is NOT considered an essential mineral
element for mammals and
humans. http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/dwq/en/nutoverview.pdf If fluoride is not
an essential mineral, then no illness or disease (including dental decay) can be attributed to a
deficiency of it.
But you can be over-exposed to fluoride.
The CDC claims more than 40% of U.S. adolescents have dental fluorosis – damaged tooth
enamel from getting too much fluoride. This represents a 400% increase from rates found 60
years ago. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db53.htm
Meanwhile, the CDC also has oral health maps that show there is no correlation between rates of
fluoridation and better oral health.

Durham resident, said safe fluoride drinking water is a myth.”

Time to stop the nonsense. Stop artificial fluoridation.
