This week’s spelling focus is: looking at the spelling rules for the suffix –ive.
We will be revisiting it in a variety of contexts during Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s
literacy lessons, ready for a spelling test and dictation on Thursday.
We will also be looking at two commonly misspelt words we frequently use in our
writing. These might not necessarily follow a specific spelling rule/pattern, but we will be
finding the strategy that helps us remember how to spell it.
