the Prague Rabbinate and it is up to you if you rely on the hechshers. Note, that if a product
is on a country’s list, it needs to be produced in that country, so that one should check the
information about the country of origin on the package. Please, also note that we do not
have instantaneous updates about the foreign kosher lists and that this list will be updated
only once a year.

LIST OF PROBLEMATIC INGREDIENTS
Many food items have problematic additives or conservatives:

Tartaric acid /kyselina vinná/: produced from wine-stone, but can be also artificial (synthetic)

Grape sugar /hroznový cukr/: these days i tis produced from sacharosis (enzymatic fissure),
but can be from non-kosher grape juice, as well

Glycerin: sometimes produced from animal fat

Gelatine: produced from bones, leather or from non-kosher sea animals
Without any problems: milk acid /kyselina mléčná/ (always pareve, it is not a milk
derivative), Ant acid /kyselina mravenčí/ (always pareve, it is not made from ants),
Pyrogrape acid /kyselina pyrohroznová/ (it is not made from grapes).
