We haven’t had much snowthis winter meaning that the ice has frozen to a so-called steel ice, without any snow in it. That promises hard and glidy surface on the skating track on Lake Kallavesi. The freezing coldness we have had this month means also that the traditional 12.5 km long skating track will be possible. We are expecting the first part of the track being in use next weekend. I am looking forward to the weekend with the opening of the skating season on the ice of Lake Kallavesi. It is going to be such a great fun again! But how are you, our skating friends in different countries? We really hope to see you here again. Welcome Henk Hendriks from the Netherlands to skate your 46th 200 km race – not all here in Kuopio!
