Before treatment
1.
Avoid sun exposure 4-6 weeks before & after treatment
2.
Avoid depilatory creams 1 week prior to treatment
3.
DO NOT bleach, pluck or wax the hair for 6 weeks prior to treatment
4.
If you have a history if cold sores, Zovirax may be used prior to treatment & continued
1 week after treatment
5.
Tanned skin cannot be treated. If treated, you may develop hypopigmentaion (white
marks) or hyperpigmentation (brown marks) which may be permanent. This also
applies to self tanning products.
6.
Please remember to shave the area 12—24hrs before treatment. Not shaving the
area may result in you not being able to have your treatment on that day
Post treatment advise
1.
Immediately after the treatment, there may be redness & swelling in the treatment
area. This can feel like mild sunburn.
2.
The application of iced water during the 1st few hours after treatment can reduce any
discomfort
3.
Make up can be applied once any heat in the area has faded
4.
Apply SPF 30+ daily during your course & avoid sun exposure to reduce the risk of
hyperpigmentation (dark spots)
5.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
6.
Hair regrowth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body. New growth will
not occur for at least 3 weeks after treatment.

Anywhere from 5-19 days after treatment, shedding of the surface hair may occur &
this appears as new hair growth. This is NOT new hair growth, you can use A loofa or
gentle exfoliation to remove these hairs
DO NOT use any hair removal treatments which disturb the hair follicle (waxing
electrolysis or tweezing) during your course. Shaving or depilatory creams may be
used
