Help Lead Bible Studies
Sign up at the table in the foyer to have people referred to you for a Bible study. When visitors say they
would like a Bible study, we’ll reach out to this group to
make contact and lead a Bible study. We’ll also provide workshops and meetings to grow this group and
continue to equip ourselves to share the gospel.

Teacher Appreciation Dinner
The elders would like to inform the church that Steve
and Marta Jividen are moving away to be close to
their children and grandchildren. As a deacon, Steve
has served in many areas of leadership and his unique
skills will be missed. Marta has also served as a teacher and in many other areas. We very much want to
thank them for their service to God here at Oldham
Lane. We will miss you both.
TJ Williams is also stepping down as the deacon over
Benevolence. TJ served in one of the most difficult
areas of service that we have and he worked tirelessly
in taking care of the needs of others. We deeply appreciate all the work, time and dedication of TJ.
We will be honoring all of our Bible class teachers on

The loss of a family member or loved one
can be a very trying time. Funeral Meal
Teams are helpful in eliminating one small
element of concern: a meal for the family
and friends who will gather during this time
of mourning. Each Funeral Meal Team of
women is coordinated by one group
leader. The leader plans the menu from
the main dish to the desserts. The team
members contribute to the meal by
bringing a prepared dish, setting up the
Family Room, serving the meal, and
cleaning up afterward. Tables are set with
freshly cleaned tablecloths and flower
arrangements. Team members prepare
tea and slice desserts. As guests arrive and
make their way through the serving line,
team members offer hugs and smiles of
encouragement.
Funeral Meal Team
members quietly attend to guest needs by
providing drink refills or picking up used
plates and cups. The love shown even goes
home with the family in the form of
leftovers.
You see, more happens than simply serving
a meal. The family is comforted, a healthy
meal is provided, and many members of
the Lord’s church are given an opportunity
to serve. To be a part of the Funeral Meal
Team ministry, please sign up on the table
in foyer today. See Barbara Dunn for more
information.
