The Implications of Washing Dishes
You’re washing dishes in water so hot
it turns your hands red, wrinkles your skin.
This implies you have
food
water
pots
pans
dishes
silverware
a sink
a residence.
This implies you ate today.
You’re washing dishes—
two plates
two glasses
two knives
two forks
two spoons.
This implies
you’re a lucky fucker, buckaroo.
You’ve got someone to eat with you.
