Comfortable Cows, Clean Sand

Comfortable Cows, Clean Sand
SAND SOLUTIONS CONFERENCE | NOVEMBER 14 & 15, 2012
Discover How You Can Benefit From Using Sand!
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
On many dairies, sand is the preferred way to bed. It keeps cows clean, dry and comfortable, and thereby increases
milk production and overall producer profitability. Geared for today’s dairy economy, this year’s conference sessions
will take you “back to basics” by discussing topics such as cost savings from recycling sand and selecting the right
sand-manure separation system. In addition, sessions will focus on many of the questions producers today have about
retrofitting barns for sand bedding, cow comfort issues and feasibility of recycling sand as it relates to mastitis and
udder health. Tours feature several different types of separation systems (diluted and undiluted) where sand is recycled
and reused as bedding.
