RAVEN 3.3 Important Release Notes
IMPORTANT USER ACTIONS FOR THIS UPDATE.
1. Users will have to re-add RAVEN application into the accessibility menu area within the macOS
or OS X System Preferences.

Users default layouts will need to be re-saved with the Banking button states you’d like, whether
“24 Tracks” or “1 Track” on each layout. Push and hold the Banking buttons for 3 seconds to change the
banking mode to 1 or 24. Press the "Settings" button on the bottom right of the RAVEN Toolbar. Then
press, "Restore Factory Default.” Note: Each time a RAVEN Layout is updated, users should “Save” their
default RAVEN Layout (.ravlay) then "Restore Factory Default.” Then, press "Save Layout" to overwrite
the current layout so the changes are saved and press "Save RAVEN Session" to save the .ravlay. Last,
press the “Settings” button and choose “Set User Default.”

MTi2 users with multiple display will need to re-configure the “UPDD Touch Driver” settings.
Click on the UPDD "Hand" icon in the "Menu Bar" and select "Configure" and it will ask you to touch
each screen and click the “next” button on any non touch displays. Then relaunch V-Control Pro, Your
DAW and the RAVEN application.

Attention Windows 7 Users: RAVEN 3.3 is not supported. Users using Windows 7 will need to
remain using RAVEN 3.2 in the Legacy Installers area of your user accounts, which currently uses “NeyFi.” RAVEN 3.3 uses the updated V-Control Pro, which has not been officially supported on Windows 7
systems.

Other Known Issues.
- The Batch Command Record feature does not allow modifiers to be held when clicking during the
recording process.
- OS X 10.7 users, the Batch Command Record Feature will not function in Lion, this will also affect the
banking in Cubase and Logic Pro X.
- OS X 10.8 users, if you experience issue with the Batch Command Record Feature, or issues with
banking in Logic Pro X and Cubase or Nuendo, please follow instructions in the link.

Pro Tools Windows Items:
- Be sure to run Pro Tools as Administrator when using RAVEN.
Pro Tools OS X Items:
- Enable EUCON should be turned to the “Off” state. If required to
use, you will receive all functionality, however the RAVEN Mixer
metering in the RAVEN External Mixer and RAVEN Floating Mixers will
not display. Important Note: The RAVEN Internal Mixer metering will
not be affected negatively.
- Cannot bank in Sends mode on Pro Tools.
- Pro Tools Floating Insert Browser can on occasion not display
plugins. To fix, users may need to attempt selecting a different track
and then return again to the unresponsive track, or open the plugin by
hand to force the update and should then perform as expected.
- When banking to the last track in Pro Tools, use a 1 finger swipe or
change the banking mode to “1 track”.
Logic Pro X Items:
- Logic Pro X 10.2 users on OS X versions 10.9 (Mavericks) and below
may experience frequent crash reports upon closing Logic Pro X when
used with the RAVEN. Apple has been made aware of this issue and
recommends users update to 10.11 (El Capitan) or 10.12.3 (Sierra) to resolve this
issue.
- Dual RAVEN Logic users will need to update the permissions when
using SWAP mode.

Studio One 3 Items:
- RAVEN Studio One 3 currently only supports single RAVEN displays.
Dual support will be available in the future.
- For MTX and MTi-1 users, be sure to turn “Enable Simulated Mouse
Clicks” in the MultiTouchPlatform application to the “Off” state when
using Studio One 3. This is required or touch difficulty will occur.
- For MTi2 users, be sure to change the UPDD Gestures app settings to
their “Off” state when using the RAVEN MTi2 with Studio One 3.

For Ableton Live Items:
- Using Ableton Live Rewire in an outside DAW with a device such as
the Push limits the user's access to control surface as limited by the
DAW developers.
- RAVEN can only focus on one DAW at one time when using Ableton Live
Rewire. Note: Must open Ableton Live first and then the DAW to Rewire.
Some limitations exist here.
- The RAVEN Mixer meters will not read signal when input monitoring
through limitations in the DAW’s information output.
For Cubase/Nuendo Users:
- RAVEN Nuendo does not have an Internal Mixer.
- Cubase 8.5 not responding to “Option+Return” key command, so some
instant plugin and sends BCs will not function. Steinberg knows about
the issue and have fixed it in Cubase 9.
- Users must hide Stereo In/Out tracks in the Cubase mixer for RAVEN
Internal Mixer to sync correctly.
