Recurring Notation
Some decimals go on forever. These are called recurring decimals.
For example, if you type the following into a calculator

You will get
0.11111111111 …
This goes on forever and ever and ever.
To save writing this lots of time, we use recurring notation. The digit
that repeats over and over again is only written once and a dot is
placed above the number.
