The Policy for the perspective development of the Renewable
Energy Sources and the Efficient Use of Energy for 2014 – 2030
period¨ was approved on June 21, 2014.
Objectives of the Policy:
•
To transform the energetic sources structure.
•
To decrease dependence on fossil fuels.
•
To increase the environmental sustainability.
The program to achieve the proposed objectives contemplates :
•
To increase the participation of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in
electricity generation up to 24%.
•
To Produce 7 thousand 316 GWh/year with RES.
•
It will replace 1,75 millions tons of fuel/year.
•
Avoiding emitting 6 million tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere.

Efficiency in housings
•
Replacement of 13 million fluorescent lamps by LED in the
residential sector.
 Replaced currently 1.8 million.
• Replacement of 2 million electric resistance cookers by
induction cookers in the residential sector.
 Replaced 540 thousand.
• 100 000 m² in solar heaters will be installed .They will save on
average 12% of the electricity in housings where they are
installed.
• Installation of 20 000 solar photovoltaic modules in housings.
 550 installed.
