Sunday, June 18, 2017 “The Year of Spiritual Giving and Blessings” II Corinthians 9:6-8 NCV Happy Father’s Day Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Jeremiah 17:7 (KJV) The Courage to Lead – The Faith to Follow Rev. Dr. Richard A. Dent, Pastor 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what 8 power, or by what name, have ye done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders 9 of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the 10 impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Dent Call to Christian Discipleship Benediction We are grateful that our heavenly task is to be a blessing to those who need to know who is holding our hands and guiding our footsteps. The Bible is so instructive to our purpose to the least of these: “If you give food to the hungry and satisfy those who are in need, then the darkness around you will turn the brightness of noon. And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well, you will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never goes dry. Your people will rebuild what has long been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. You will be known as the people who rebuilt the walls, who restored the ruined houses.” Isaiah 58:10-12 (GNB) The Holy Spirit gave me the above scripture to share with you, a blessed people of an equally blessed church and community. We are charged to be the repairers of the breach and the restorers of paths for His people to dwell.
