The site is not visible from Lea Lane, being at a higher level and behind a wall. However, it is clearly visible from Wolverley Road. Facilities are available within reasonable walking distance in either Wolverley or Cookley village. The separate parcel in the SW corner is in a different ownership. The northern section is potentially suitable for development with access being taken through the new development at Attwood Close. . Part of the site has been promoted through the Call for Sites. A large part is in WFDC ownership. Development is considered to be achievable subject to the land being taken out of the Green Belt. . An application for a museum and shop with enabling housing (6 dwellings) was refused (13/0405). It is an area of hardstanding to the south of the driveway to the house known as Wolverley Lodge. Access is gained from Lea Lane. There is a late 1960s telephone exchange immediately adjacent. To the south is the Camping and Caravanning Club site with Brownwesthead Park to the east. This parcel of land does not appear to have been part of the grounds to the house and has evidence of a number of structures. It is well screened from the neighbouring house and the Lea Lane itself. There is the potential to redevelop this area if officers can be satisfied that it is a previously developed site.
