Moving People
What Price Progress?
What we will be learning this term:
Moving People
This unit gives the children a chance to learn about
migration. We will discover the similarities between places
they know and the differences. We will undertake research
on refugees, who they are and their responsibilities. We will
investigate the reasons for economic migration, its effects
and the laws controlling it. We will also learn about the
migration of people from prehistoric time periods.
What Price Progress?
This unit gives the children a chance to learn about invention,
development and what changes in technology mean for
themselves, their communities and the world. We will find
out about the different types of technology used in our daily
lives, compose our own expressionist music and understand
what makes someone an entrepreneur. We will be
researching important inventions and discoveries from the
past. We will be learning about 'futurism' and creating our
own pieces of art in the futurist style.
