Texas is developing!
Greetings!
Texas is developing and so are the economic ties between the Netherlands and Texas.
The Dutch presence in Texas is remarkable and is visible in business, but also in
governmental and educational institutions and partnerships. In this newsletter we
highlight one of our colleagues from the Dutch Embassy and Dutch company Scandia
Gear. We welcomed the solar team van Eindhoven with Stella Lux in Austin, and we want
to introduce you to a new item: our Trading Post. Last but not least we have a very
interesting press release regarding SWSX in Austin. Yet another interesting newsletter
ahead.
News from the office
We are the only NBSO in the United
States of America. However, we are
definitely not alone in our mission to
promote and increase trade between
the Netherlands and Texas. We are
part of the broad economic network in
the United States. We would like to
introduce you to our great
colleague from the Royal Netherlands
Embassy, Dale Morris, who's
knowledge and helpfulness is very
inspirational to us.
NBSO's Trading Post
A trading post was an establishment
where the trading of goods and the
exchange of information took
place. The trading post of the NBSO
serves the same purpose; connecting
the Dutch in their demand and supply,
knowledge sharing and the exchange
of news and advice. Today on
NBSO's trading post: 30 job
opportunities for Dutch speaking
people at American Airlines. Read
more.
Dutch companies in Texas
A few weeks ago we had the privilege
of meeting with two highly motivated
and most knowledge Dutch
entrepreneurs who successfully run
the Scandia Gear office in
Houston. You can read here more
about this Rotterdam bred specialist
in creating apparel and PPE for the
Maritime and Offshore Industries.
