President’s Message
Dear Friends,
Looking back at this school year I am deeply touched
by the generosity of the Bloomington Community.
The support of our donors and volunteers is creating
an impact that will give all children in our public
schools opportunities to succeed academically.
This past year, the Foundation infused $170,000 into
educational programs and resources that will engage
and inspire student learning. This funding enabled
the Foundation to make significant investments in
several academic areas including, literacy, science,
technology, engineering, math (STEM), and wellness.
As you read about our teacher grants, community
partnerships, and fundraisers you will see how the
Foundation is fulfilling its mission to the students of
the Monroe County Community School Corporation.
Highlights include:
• Teacher grants totaling $31,000 to 27
educators
• Literacy programs and investments totaling
$72,000
• STEM Projects totaling $56,000 to enhance
curriculum and create dual credit courses
• Scholarships and Awards totaling $11,800 and
benefitting 39 students.
I thank you, our donors, community partners,
volunteers, board members, and staff for impacting
and transforming lives for our students. Your
annual support is essential to providing educational
experiences that will engage and inspire learning for
our students.

Golf Fore Kids
On June 18th, teams gathered at the
Bloomington Country Club to tee off in
support of students. The Foundation’s first
Golf Fore Kids Scramble raised $35,000 to
support educational programs. Fun prizes,
good food, and friendly competition made
this event a big success for sponsors,
players, and the kids!
