Shakespeare Carolina in Association with
Winthrop University presents The Taming of the Shrew
William Shakespeare’s famous BATTLE of the SEXES is ANYTHING, but TAME! Lovely Bianca is the
prize to be won by all, but not until a husband is found for her fiery older sister, Kate, who may
just outsmart them all. Shakespeare’s original screwball comedy, that inspired the film “10 Things
I Hate About You,” is a delightful romp of quick-witted dialog and rollicking physical comedy that
reminds us of the outrageous things we do for the human heart.
Performances are Saturday, August 20 – Sunday, August 21 and Thursday, August
25 –Sunday, August 28.
