NORTH SOMERSET DISTRICT COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, WINFORD, NORTH SOMERSET)
(SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201*
The District Council of North Somerset (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in
exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 82, 83, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of
1984”) and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the chief officer of
police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984, hereby makes the
following Order:1.
This order shall come into operation on the **th day of ********* 201* and may
be cited as the North Somerset District Council (Various Roads, Winford,
North Somerset) (Speed Limit) Order 201*.
2.
No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in
any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this order.
3.
No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in
any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this order.
4.
No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in
any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this order.
5.
No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation
3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and
Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5)
of those regulations
6.
The North Somerset District Council (Various Roads, Winford) (Speed Limit)
Order 2000 is hereby revoked in its entirety.
