JobOffer PostdoctoralScientist ProteinBiochemistryandsmallmoleculescreening We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with excellent expertise in protein biochemistry and solid proficiency in cellular biology techniques. Experience with protein-RNA interactions, assay development and the screening of small molecule libraries are desired. The successful candidate will focus on the characterization of protein-RNA association and the development of high-throughput assays for the analysis of small molecule inhibitors interfering with the expression or RNA-association of oncogenic RNA-binding proteins (RBPs). In previous work, we characterized RBPs with significant oncogenic potential in various solid cancers. Recently, we identified small molecule drugs targeting the expression of these RBPs as well as some of their downstream effectors in cancer cells. The ultimate goal of the research project supported by EU funds is the identification of small molecules drugs targeting the expression of RBPs or their RNA-association in cancerderived cells.
